Simple Review on Sleek Glisten Me Liquid Illuminator

Hello there! I know it's been a while and I've been very preoccupied with a lot of happenings in my life (Family  and business). So my apologies if I haven't posted anything for a long long time.

Anyways, for the longest time I've been lemming for Sleek Make Up's Glisten me Liquid Illuminator. I can't decide which one to get so I got both Empress & Goddess!  I've read so much great reviews about it so I placed an order. Then after a few weeks it finally arrived! Yay!

Sleek Says: "A liquid illuminator with light reflecting mica pigments, Glisten Me Liquid Illuminator is great for highlighting face and body for a glowing appearance."

See why I got so curious and got them? Packaging wise is very classy. The matte cover and the frosted glass bottle is just says glam!
It also has a spatula attached to the lid to control how much product you wanted to apply.
This for me is a plus as always tend to pour a lot. (clumsy me)

Both colors are promising and great for a high lighting someone's great assets and features.  Pigmentation is just right and not overly crazy when applied and lathered evenly.

Look at those gorgeous colors! This is just a small smudge
on my skin and both really gave that instant beautiful glow! Yay!

I can't wait to use these on my

make up sessions and photoshoots too! Yipee!

Have you tried Glisten Me??? If you haven't, then you must!

Ideal Sparty at Pink Me Up Beauty Nail & Dry Bar

Finally! Our Friend Gee is  going to tie the knot and of course we won't let her just walk down the aisle this month without bidding goodbye to single life.

This call for a huge Sparty!!!

We had our party at Pink Me Up  Beauty Nail & Dry Bar where they really cater for bridal sparty.  If i remember right it's 5k for party of  8 and a free blow dry for the bride to be. =)

The place is tastefully done.   Interiors are very well thought out and the layout is so neat you would like to have this kind of room in your own abode.

Arm chairs and stools are so comfy  your woldn't feel slouched on them. this is my usual dilemma on nail salons as I have a a bad back. Good thing Pink me Up's chairs are so comfy.

I was really impressed with Pink me Up organization. They helped us with everything. From decorations , plates, wine glasses,  wine opener and up to picking up the cake (gave them the receipt in advance) that is what you call SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Love how neat this place is and look how cool they arrange all our food in a very sophisticated way.

Me & Rege of Pink Me Up.

Thanks you Ms. Emily and Miss Rege for accommodating us!!!
I'd be glad go back here again sometime! =)

Their services ranges from Php 280 - Php580 depending on what you want and which I find it very reasonable. I think this is a what you can really call luxury on a budget. =)

If you want to try their services, you can visit them at  Unit 2D Lee Gardens Condominium Shaw Blvd. cor. Lee St., Mandaluyong City.

RAVE: ReveN Bath My Konjac 6 Wave Face & body Sponge

For years, I've been on a look out for facial and body sponge. I tried  all sorts of  sponges and scrubs but still I ended up with broken or irritated skin and it causes my skin to dry and breaking out.

Then I got curious with ReveN  Bath My konjac Sponge.  I did my research and read lots of good reviews about konjac sponges and finally I gave in and order the product all the way to Indonesia. ( thought the product is originally from Korea)

Product says:
100% natural fibre
100% Biodegradable
Soft & Gentle
Ph balanced
Naturally deep Cleansing
Kind to mother earth

Sponge for all skin types & safe for babies and children. It is designed to gently exfoliate, soothe, and cleanse all over.

Exfoliate is vital to maintaining clear, healthy skin but is often a step we forget at shower or bath time.

Best for scrubbing … A great scrub not only will slough away dead skin cells but also stimulates skin so that more blood flows to that area, leaving your legs polished and primed for increased moisturizer absorption, and giving a healthy glow. Also helping reduce blemishes.
Cleanses, exfoliates, removes excess oil.
Delicate on baby's skin
Good for hypersensitive skin and teenage skin suffering from acnes and breakouts.

All in all My Konjac Sponge  is Ideal for the whole Family.

The sponge is as big as my palm, which is just a good size for me.
My Konjac Sponge is 100% eco friendly and  each sponge could last for about 3-4 months.

All I have to do is  soak the sponge in water until it absorbs the liquid. Then squeeze it and then start scrubbing on a circle motion. I could use this sponge with or without a gentle cleanser as this sponge has an alkaline on its own so it really cleanses the skin. AMAZING Isn't it?

Safe to scrub on your skin without feeling of roughness.

After use I just have to hang it for air drying or if I wanted to make sure that it's clean
I could sanitize it by just  steaming it on a microwave for a minute or two. Easy does it. =))

here's a closer look  on the sponge.

Over all I am happy with  ReveN Bath My konjac  6 wave face & body sponge. Priced at Php 450.00. It definitely delivers all its  promises of clean and softness. Available in 5 variants that targets different kind of skin problems. you can order it via Updated Trends

My South Salon Experience

Finally I got bored with my dark hair ! I really thought I could carry dark hair for a long time but I was wrong. The other night, I came to my senses "It's time to make a change". (ala Micheal Jackson lang ang banat ng loka. =))

Then yesterday immediately when I woke up, I told my hubby that I'll be going to the salon. (determinado talaga).

My target: South Salon in Alabang. I heard that they are well known for their hair coloring expertise . Thanks to Melai and Patty who gave me good feedbacks about this beauty shop.

I risked coming on a  Monday because I thought it would be quieter. Alas I was wrong the place was jamp acked with clients!  Good thing they have a slot for walk in client like me. =)

Also thank goodness for Henry Sumbillo who also happens to be one a co-parent in my daughter's school, immediately took charge and instructed his 2 assistants Pearly & Deah to work on me. Honestly these girls are good on what they do.

After almost 10hours of  treating, coloring, moisturizing, rinsing and trimming.

Tadaaaa!!!

My strong feature became softer! I love my honey comb blonde! Thank you Henry for introducing me to colors! =)

For those of you who are bored with your regular hair color and wanted to treat your  crowning glory a good  shade click here .

NAILED: Nfu Oh Nail Lacquer

This week I'm wearing a holographic!

Love this color. Down side is the brush is too hard that I need to wait for the first coat to dry before I can apply the second & the third one.

Got this from the queen of nail polish herself Pammy.

Weeee! Holographically amazing!

RAVE: Proactiv 3 step System to clear skin

I've seen Jennifer Love Jewitt,  Avril Lavigne and Justine Bierber advert about his product and I though   does this product really work? They are so pricey but I'm willing to give it a try.

Then my 15 year old daughter had a massive zit attack on her forehead for almost a year now and it doesn't go away.

Knowing how skin go crazy on this stage of adolescence. I panicked and try to find some remedy on my daughter's escalating skin condition.

Here's she covering her  forehead with loads of hair.

No parent would like to see their daughter suffer from pimple scars until they grows up.

So I decided to get her some Proactiv products for her to try.

Product says:

Our micro-crystal medicine and 24/7 Skin Care Advisor support for ActivMembers™ are just two parts of our more powerful, more complete acne treatment.

Renew
  • This medicated Renewing Cleanser is made with new, exclusive micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide - featuring smaller, finer particles designed to quickly penetrate pores to start killing acne-causing bacteria on contact. Tiny exfoliating beads gently remove dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells to help keep pores from clogging.

Directions:
  • Use twice daily, morning and night.
  • Treat whole face. Dampen skin.
  • Apply a small amount (dime size) with gentle fingertip massage for 1-2 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat dry.

Revitalize
  • This refreshing, alcohol-free toner helps remove impurities and excess oil so your skin looks and feels clean, soft and refreshed -- not tight and dried out. Soothing botanical agents gently balance your skin tone.

Directions:
  • Use twice daily, morning and night.
  • Treat whole face. Apply small amount (dime size) with cotton ball or pad.
  • Allow to dry. Do not rinse off.

Repair
  • The repairing acne treatment is a feather-light medicated treatment that gets deep into clogged pores faster but is designed to be gentler on the skin. It's an oil-free formula that's safe for your entire face.

Directions:
  • Use twice daily, morning and night.
  • Apply small amount (pea size) with fingertips on any affected areas.
  • Allow to dry. Do not rinse off.

There's also a refining mask but I'm not so sure if she uses this one though.

This therapeutic clay mask is designed to soothe irritation and heal blemishes—as well as to help keep breakouts from getting started.
Benefits:
  • Blemish-free skin is good. But flawless, radiant skin is better.
  • Fans call it their "secret weapon." Allure Magazinecalls it "best of beauty."
  • A 6% concentration of antibacterial sulfur works as part of our Combination Therapy® to heal and help prevent acne.
  • Vitamin-enriched omegas help keep skin balanced and toned.
  • Put the clay mask on your face, put your feet up for 15 minutes, then rinse it off.
  • That’s all it takes to see radiant, healthier-looking skin, with refined texture and tone, reduced appearance of pores and wonderful clarity.
  • Use it two or three times a week and we promise, your skin will thank you.
  • Just a dab works wonders as an overnight treatment for stubborn pimples.

I bought this set  in HK for HKD 699.00 about Php 4,194.00 approximately.

Anyway, after 2months of using Proactiv.

Here's a photo my teenager in two weeks ago.

Sorry the photo was taken quite blurry  I have to zoom it in. =))

But nevertheless. I can see that my teenager is more confident now than before and she loves it! =))

So Proactive is a rumor  that really works after all.

Have you tried Proactiv? What can you say about it?

Food Encounters

Every time I go on a trip Food Encounters are too hard to resists.  so let me share with you what I had last week.

Destination Hong kong

Braised rack of lamb

apple juice and some red wine

D wasn't able to eat on the plane so she asked me if we could have something at her fave noodle shop Crystal Jade. Some Si Long Bao (pork dumplings) and chicken noodles soup.

Cold Soya Milk and oolong tea

I also had some wonton noodles.  Luch is DONE

But dinner came so quick! We had japanese food at HIT is Harbour City

Dessert!

The following day is no excuse not to eat so we only had Char Sui Fan ( pork asado lang po) and Nai chaa ( Milk Tea) sa isang karinderia.

Saka lumafang ng madaming fruits. Dinner time was private to no pictures. pa-demure muna ako. =))

Then Sunday is a huge Dim Sum  lunch with our HK friends.
Walang puknat ang kainan. We lasted til 3pm.=))

Other days I can't post as you already know that food is almost like a hobby with us family. =))

So Dukan diet was wasted in just a week! Waaaah!

Pamper time with Salon @ Home

Most of my friends know very well that I do my own nails and I occasionally go to my fave Nail Salon.  Today I'm a little bit desperate to have my tips done before leaving once again. But no chance go for a quick stop at the nail spa same as doing my own, so I ask for help from Salon @ Home. (first time to call in baby).

Anyway, here's their brochure that lists down all the services they render. not bad for a price di ba?

I talked to their nice operator and asked if they have a slot for me and  that I'd like to have  a Mani Pedi ASAP as  I have some friends coming over tonight.   She was so accommodating that immediately she told me that she can send someone over at 1pm. not too bad ei? I heard they were busy everyday. Tunog chismosa lang. =))

Mind you I'm very particular with call in services as I don't really want a stranger doing my tips and toes.or not recommended by a very very good friends. And most of all i don't want a total stranger coming into our house.

A-fraiddy Aguilar!

And then came  the  staff who's in a nice clean  uniform and well presented.  Her name is Stella.

She's got all the things she needed in a plastic box. Even a lamp ha. Galeng! (sorry i forgot to take a photo of it)

She's so good that I actually doze off! hahahaha! Bihira mangyari yan sa kin.

So here's my super clean tips. of course I use my ever favorite color Chanel Coromandel.

Next is Dannielle!!!

So far both Dannielle and i are happy with Salon @ Home's mani & pedi service. And I'd give them a 4 out of 5 stars.

We'll try their  body scrub next time!

Ciao!
